Nursery Reveal

A mix of Boho & Nordic Style inspired Nursery

This was probably one of the most fun activities I did during pregnancy. Around week 25 my belly started showing which meant that I could no longer take regular commercial or fashion shoot jobs. Fortunately, I was able to still get some jobs in maternity fashion however my weekly schedules became much more relaxing and suddenly I had a lot of free time. That was the moment when I discovered the awesome search feature on Pinterest to look for inspiration on how to organize and decorate our nursery.

Before even starting to buy anything, I did a lot of research on different concepts that I would like to apply, looked for the furniture and products that I will need, and wrote down a list of all the things that I needed. Quite from the beginning, I knew that I didn’t want to have a changing station but rather the famous HEMNES dresser from IKEA and put the diaper changing pad on top of it. With that idea set, I only needed to figure out how to decorate the walls and which other props I needed to make everything look as cozy as possible.

Most of the knowledge that I currently have I retrieved from baby-related books and podcasts. Those valuable pieces of information made me decide to go for a bedside nursery in our bedroom instead of preparing a separate room for the baby right from the beginning. When the time comes and our baby girl will be ready to sleep in her own room we can still reorganize and move all the stuff there.

Through the following pictures, I will show you some insights into the final nursery setup. I hope you’ll enjoy scrolling through and finding some inspiration. Also, I have linked most items. You will find the list at the end of the page. if there are any that I forgot to mention feel free to reach out and ask. As for the baby clothes and the stuffed animals, I crochet everything by myself. I am going to share some DIY in the future, so stay tuned for that!
